Getting Started

You should have been provided a .iads file. To get started using IADS, you will need a ".iads" file. This is a single file containing the IETM data for your system. It may have been provided as part of the download or disc you recieved or you may need to download it from the Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC) https://ent.ldac.army.mil/etmapp/#/etm/home (NIPR connection required). A System Access Request (SAR) is required for LDAC ETM accounts. You can contact your Weapon System Program Office or the IADS helpdesk if you need additional help.

To install a dataset, select File > Open and browse out to the location of the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) .iads "package" file. IADS will read the IETM from the location where the .iads file is located, the device with the data file (CD, network drive, etc.) must always be available to view the IETM from that location.

If you already have XML data and the required dataset and table of contents file, simply open the dataset file from the IADS File > Open menu.
